Little did I know he would bug me for time with them, and since we had just started the divorce process, he went straight to his lawyer. While I didnā€™t want to give him any time that day, he carved pumpkins with the kids. At first, I was mad that, as always, he was able to bully his way into things, but as I sat back and thought about it, I realized I was able to enjoy some peace to make dinner, and I didnā€™t have to deal with the mess of carving pumpkins as I had so many times before.
